We Hopped off the squished bus and sat down. This is when the play was about to start.
This morning we went to Ilminster to watch a play from the green team. It was about why you should NOT litter.
The first characters walked on to the stage . There was a kina, an older crayfish and two small crayfishes.
"Alright, time for bed " exclaimed the nanny crayfish. " One more story, pleaseeee " said one of the small crayfishes. " Fine. Which story should we do? The story about when I saved the world , or the story when I saved the world from aliens?" Nanny crayfish asked " Easy! The one when you saved the world from aliens." The small crayfish answered.
The nanny crayfish explained The whole Story and how her and the kina saved the world from "aliens"...
At the skatepark, four kids were eating food and leaving the rubbish on the ground without thinking. But soon, the aliens came and polluted as well. " Hey! You can't pollute in our world! " said one of the kids, forgetting that they were being hypocrites. " We've got to tell Nanny Kōura (the crayfish). She will know what to do!" Said one kid. And off they went looking for her.
"Nanny Kōura Nanny Kōura! Some Alien things are polluting! Do something!" cried the kids " I know what to do.
She went to the skatepark. The aliens thought she was their leader because she was orange like them. "Which one of you polluted ?!" She asked . The aliens keeped on pointing at each other trying not to take the blame. " ENOUGH! Can you both clean up your mess ?" Nanny Kōura shouted. " Ok Master " The aliens replied. " And where are you guys going ? " Nanny asked the kids ."Home" they all said. "No you aren't. How about you clean up YOUR mess too before you leave?" Said Nanny Kōura. "But-" The kids tried to answer. " But you also have to clean up the rest of the skatepark." Nanny interrupted "FINEEEE" The kids said. That's what they did for the rest of the day.
" Ok and that's the end of the story. Maybe tomorrow night I could tell you a new story for a change. Go to bed now"
It is the start of term four and that means speeches. It was quite hard to choose my topic but luckily I settled on Valerie Adams because I really didn't like my original topic ideas. My first idea for a topic was "What Happens when E-cars are worn out?" but I didn't really like that topic because I want an E-car. That was only one of a million ideas I had but then I just decided to to it about an inspirational Olympian.
Last Wednesday we got back into alert level two, and we got a day off school on the first day, which was when I went to the hair dressers . But on Thursday we went back to school and so far it has been fine.
Thursday and Friday were really fun, because thursday was good because we did a kahoot and even though I didn't participate they showed a video with all the answers for the daily riddles, which was quite fun to watch. Then I wish every Friday would be like last weeks one, because in the morning we played a long game of three ball soccer, we did another kahoot, we got a new shared book and we read it at the beach and then after that we played on the beach. On the beach we got to play several rounds of bullrush, we dug a huge hole, and my friend Keylaine made soft sand with me which is just wet sand and dry sand and then its really satisfying.
This week is kind of normal, because we got back into workshops, and our cross country (🏃)canceled because of lockdown and so we will do it tomorrow instead and I'm not too excited.
I have tons of good luck because on Saturday we are going to the South island of New Zealand and luckily lockdown ended on Wednesday so I think we will be able to go. I'm just gonna try not to keep my hopes up too high just in case...
Anyways I'm just so glad I can see my friends again and that lockdown is over!
Yesterday was the first day of spring and I am just so happy that we can finally have some sunny days coming our way !
As it being the second day of spring my peach tree has already started to bloom and the house is so sunny you don't need a light switch. I love spring because its not to hot and not to cold, perfect weather for skiing, The A and P show, halloween and more.
Just as well that the covid alert levels have just changed to level three yesterday so we can go swimming.
I'm also really excited for camping to start, because we are allowed to roast marshmallows and there's GREAT spots for hide and seek!
In spring you don't have to bother about wearing so much layers, and we can wear skirts and summer dresses.
Spring is my favourite season in the whole year!

We did a walk your pepeha week, which we still haven't finished, we still need to go to our Marae. We are going to get that done today, but luckily we don't have to walk all the way there because it's in town.
Here are some photos of what we did-
We also have done some art.
We wrote 2021 in chunky numbers and then inside of the numbers we drew what we predicted the year would look like. We also drew stuff about ourselves, what we like and what we do. This is what it looks like-
At the very start of the term we also coloured in a mandala and wrote our goals on it. We also drew our family and friends. Photo-
In writing we have been doing persuasive writing
For math, we have done IXL math or khan academy.
Thats how our year has gone so far. Later on in the year I can share more of my learning.
Fridays Earthquake
Mum wakes me up and says; "Get out of bed Dune, there's an earthquake!" I can't believe I sleeped though that. We headed up the hill as fast as we could...
On Friday very early in the morning, there was a strong earthquake that nearly lead us into a tsunami. I was too panicky to go to school, because where I learn, its right next to the beach.
... When we felt safe, we drove back home and fell back to sleep.
It was quite a boring day. We spent most of our time watching the news to see what we could do, and heard that a small tsunami hit Tokomaru bay. Here is an image to prove it:
We then, went up the hill again and watched over the ocean to see if we were safe...
About an hour later all the warnings were canceled and we could go back to the beach. I didn't feel scared anymore, I felt relieved.
